The village of Ham

Ham is in the countryside near Hungerford.  A bucolic scene:

Tony and I walked from Yew Tree Cottage down to the village center, where he replaced some church parish notices on the public notice board.

Ham has a pretty, medieval village church, the sanctuary of which was built in the 13th century.

It may be an ancient church, but note the rector's e-mail address on the sign.  Inside, the flower arrangement that Ros did for Easter was still in place.

The village's pub has become an Indian restaurant (and pub).  The village green is surrounded by the pub and beautifully-kept thatched cottages.

Tomorrow, a trip to Salisbury, which has perhaps the most beautiful cathedral in England.
